Just In Case You Forgot… You Are Enough

A young client told me that, on some days, he just feels good for no reason. So just in case you forgot…

A person sits quietly on a bench overlooking a calm, open landscape at sunrise, bathed in soft warm light, evoking a sense of peace and enoughness.

You are enough.

Not the polished version.
Not the version you show at work.
Not the version that finally gets everything right.

You.

As you sit here reading this.

We don’t say that enough.
Or maybe we say it – but it doesn’t always land.

Because somewhere along the way, we got the idea that “enough” was something to earn.

A moving target.
A someday.
A “when I finally get my life together” kind of thing.

And yet…

Have you ever noticed that in a quiet moment – when your mind settles just a little – there’s nothing missing?

No scoreboard.
No comparison.
No measuring stick.

Just you. Breathing. Living. Being and feeling just right.

Not broken.
Not behind.
Not in need of fixing.

Just here.

And strangely, in those moments, we don’t feel “not enough.”

We feel okay.
Sometimes even peaceful.
On a good day, maybe even a little bit in awe.

Of life.
Of others.
Of ourselves, if we’re not too busy thinking about it.

You don’t have to believe this post.
You don’t have to repeat it like a mantra.

Just notice the next time your mind quiets down and see what’s actually there.

Launching into Mental Health Awareness Month

As we step into May, there will be many messages about mental health.

Strategies.
Tools.
Conversations we need to be having.

All of that has value.

And maybe alongside all of that, we remember something simple:

Mental health isn’t something we build from scratch.

It’s something that shows up
when we’re not lost in the noise, telling us we’re not enough.

May is the month we can raise awareness.

And maybe even more importantly, we can point people back to what’s already within them.

Quietly.
Gently.
Human to human.

Because just in case anyone forgot…

They’re enough too.

Much Love,

One of my all-time favourite videos to share, but before you watch this…

Take a moment.

Not to analyze it.
Not to agree or disagree.

Just listen.

There’s something about poetry that slips past the part of us that likes to debate and lands somewhere a little quieter.

Adam Roe has a way of saying what many of us feel but don’t always put into words.

See what you notice – not in the performance – but in yourself as you listen.

You Are What You Have Been Looking For

Sometimes a few words, heard at the right moment,
feel less like something new…

and more like something remembered.
